September’s CPL webinar, “Planning for BIodiversity,” took place on September 23. The webinar connected planners’ work to Sustainable Development Goal 15, which addresses ways to protect, restore, and promote sustainable land use through information sharing, management, and cross-sectoral work.

The planning profession plays a vital role in achieving the related SDG targets by ensuring that biodiversity conservation is supported locally, regionally, and nationally. Our panel of presenters shared ways to reserve land degradation and halt biodiversity loss through effective management and policy and by listening and learning from traditional knowledge holders.
