Sahar Khelifa




Sahar is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s landscape architecture program, and a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan’s regional and urban planning program. Sahar enjoys working in between the planning and design disciplines, advocating for social and environmental wellbeing in our built and natural environments. She is passionate about social and environmental issues, and has trained and worked in activism, as a student and young professional. She has also worked within the public and non-profit sectors, on projects ranging from public research and education, housing, homelessness, community building and social research and development.

Sahar was raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, located on treaty 4 territory and home to the nêhiyawak (nay-hi-yuh-wuk)/ Cree, Ojibwe, Anihšināpēk (uh-nish-i-naa-payk)/Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation. She is grateful to live as a guest on this land.

Outside of school and work, Sahar enjoys making art and going on long, wandering nature hikes.
