Planners and the New Urban Agenda in Canada

November 07, 2018 | Posted byPublié par : CIP | WTPD 2018

This bi-lingual presentation by members of the NUAC committee featured a discussion of the key challenges and opportunities for addressing social, cultural, environmental and economic sustainability in Canadian cities by focusing on three important domains: 1) sustainable and resilient growth management; 2) sustainable mobility; and 3) affordable and sustainable housing. This is a call for action that challenges planners to be the source of solutions and to use the communities in which we work as platforms to advance innovative sustainable development practices.
