{"id":45319,"date":"2026-04-27T10:07:02","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T14:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cip-icu.ca\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=45319"},"modified":"2026-05-01T08:48:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T12:48:29","slug":"municipality-of-lakeshore-belle-river-full-time-manager-community-planning","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.cip-icu.ca\/fr\/job\/municipality-of-lakeshore-belle-river-full-time-manager-community-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"Manager &#8211; Community Planning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lede\">Reporting to the Executive Director \u2013 Development Services, the Manager \u2013 Community Planning is responsible for managing the development approvals and GIS business units<\/p>\n<p>Some Qualifications and Skills include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Urban Planning from an accredited institution or related degree<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Planning<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in supervision<\/li>\n<li>A Registered Professional Planner, with membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the Planning Act and the Provincial Planning Statement<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of the Development Charges Act, the Environmental Assessment Act, the Municipal Act, Ontario Heritage Act, and other relevant legislation<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and direct the activities of personnel engaged in development approvals and GIS related functions, including internal staff and external consultants<\/li>\n<li>Work in and foster a collaborative team environment that supports cross-departmental work.<\/li>\n<li>Liaison with government agencies, neighbouring municipalities, local organizations and other agencies on planning and development matters<\/li>\n<li>Provide professional planning opinions to Council, the Committee of Adjustment, the Ontario Land Tribunal, and other agencies and approval authorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This position is due to a vacancy.
