(FNLGR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The First Nation Land Governance Registry Inc. (FNLGR) is a national First Nation-governed institution supporting the registration and administration of interests and rights in First Nation lands under the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management, as recognized in the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management Act (FAFNLMA).<\/p>\n<p>FNLGR is incorporated under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with its Articles, By-Laws and Board-approved policies. FNLGR has been developed as a modern replacement to federal registry systems, including the First Nations Land Register System (FNLRS) and the Self-Government First Nations Land Register System (SGFNLRS).<\/p>\n<p>FNLGR provides a secure, reliable, and structured framework for the registration of interests in First Nation lands. As the Junior Registration Officer with FNLGR, you will \u00a0support work that advances legal certainty, registry integrity, public trust and service reliability for participating First Nations across Canada.<\/p>\n<p>This role contributes to FNLGR\u2019s mandate by supporting accurate, secure and professional registry operations, policy implementation, stakeholder service, system readiness or corporate administration, depending on the position. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment that values integrity, respect, accountability, service to First Nations and professional excellence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Junior Registration Officer is responsible for supporting\u00a0the technical review,\u00a0processing\u00a0and registration of interests in First Nation lands.<\/p>\n<p>The position assists with document intake, preliminary review, data validation, registry record maintenance, indexing\u00a0support,\u00a0and user support.\u00a0The\u00a0role contributes to\u00a0the legal reliability, integrity, and evidentiary quality of Registry records\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0applicable legislation, regulations, Registry policies,\u00a0procedures\u00a0and First Nation governance frameworks\u00a0under the guidance of the Senior Registration Officer and Deputy Registrar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FNLGR Transition\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Assist in the migration and validation of legacy records from the First Nations Land Registry System (FNLRS) and Self-Governing First Nations Land Registry (SGFNLRS), where applicable, to support continuity, data accuracy and integrity of Registry records.<br \/>\nSupport communications with First Nation Lands Offices during transition activities by providing general information\u00a0regarding FNLGR processes, transition\u00a0steps\u00a0and\u00a0user support requirements.<br \/>\n-Escalate technical, legal, policy or registration-related questions to the Senior Registration Officer or Deputy Registrar as required.<br \/>\n-Assist in identifying, documenting and tracking user issues during the transition period.<br \/>\n-Support issue resolution process in collaboration with the Senior Registration Officer, the First Nations Land Management Resource Centre (RC), the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) and other technical or operational partners as directed.<br \/>\n-Assist with comparing migrated data against source records and flagging discrepancies, gaps or inconsistencies for senior review.<br \/>\n-Maintain transition tracking logs, issue lists and related documentation to support data accuracy, service continuity and operational readiness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ongoing\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Assist in reviewing registry instruments and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and basic compliance with Registry requirements.<br \/>\n-Conduct preliminary checks of submissions against approved checklists, document standards, filing requirements and Registry procedures.<br \/>\n-Prepare registration files for review by the Senior Registration Officer, Deputy Registrar or Registrar\/CEO, including organizing documents, confirming required information and identifying apparent gaps.<br \/>\n-Provide general information to First Nation Lands Offices and other stakeholders regarding submission requirements, document standards, and registration processes, referring to complex inquiries to senior staff.<br \/>\n-Support the preparation and maintenance of Registry records, including filing, indexing, data entry, record updates and file organization.<br \/>\n-Support compliance with FNLGR policies, procedures, information management standards and confidentiality requirement.<br \/>\n-Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality and good judgment in all work related to FNLGR operations<br \/>\n-Other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and What You Will Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the role, including:<\/p>\n<p>Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as legal studies, public administration, land management, Indigenous studies,\u00a0records\u00a0management\u00a0or a related discipline is\u00a0required.<br \/>\n3 years of experience in administration, records management, land management,\u00a0registry operations, legal\u00a0administration\u00a0or a related field is preferred.<br \/>\nExperience working with First Nation governments,\u00a0First Nation\u00a0organizations\u00a0or land governance environments\u00a0is considered an asset.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with registry systems, legal documents,\u00a0land instruments, records\u00a0management\u00a0or land-related processes is\u00a0considered\u00a0an asset.<br \/>\nExperience providing client service, technical support or administrative support is preferred.<br \/>\nBasic understanding of legislation, policies, and procedural standards is an asset.<br \/>\nBilingualism\u00a0in\u00a0English and French\u00a0is considered an asset.<br \/>\nStrong written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\nSound judgment, professionalism and attention to detail<br \/>\nAbility to manage confidential information appropriately<br \/>\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment and collaboratively with a national team<br \/>\nCommitment to respectful, inclusive and service-oriented work practices<br \/>\nUnderstanding of First Nation governance, the Framework Agreement or land administration would be
