The individual will be responsible for the creation and upkeep\/review of planning tools including municipal plans, rural plans, zoning by-laws and other by-laws as supported by the Community Planning Act. The individual will provide support and guidance to the division staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of urban and rural planning principles and of the development approval process.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including the general public, the development community, municipal councils and government departments<\/li>\n<li>Leadership, demonstrates a sense of responsibility and initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in both English and French.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree from a university planning program \u2013 recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in land use planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary\u00a0\u2013<\/strong> We offer a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. We also offer a benefit package including medical and dental insurance covered in full, life insurance, RRSP contribution and other.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Schedule\u00a0\u2013<\/strong> Thirty five (35) hour work week over five days. The position will involve working outside regular office hours. Il sera responsable de la cr\u00e9ation et de la mise \u00e0 jour\/r\u00e9vision des outils de planification, notamment les plans municipaux, les plans ruraux, les r\u00e8glements de zonage et autres r\u00e8glements pr\u00e9vus par la Loi sur l\u2019urbanisme. La personne apportera son soutien et ses conseils au personnel de la division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comp\u00e9tences et Habilet\u00e9s<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Forte compr\u00e9hension des principes d&#8217;am\u00e9nagement urbain et rural et du processus d&#8217;approbation des projets d\u2019am\u00e9nagement.<\/li>\n<li>Capacit\u00e9 d\u2019entretenir des relations de travail solides avec les intervenants, notamment le grand public, les am\u00e9nageurs, les conseils municipaux et les d\u00e9partements gouvernementaux.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership et fait preuve de sens de responsabilit\u00e9 et d&#8217;initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Aptitudes relationnelles et capacit\u00e9 de communiquer efficacement en anglais et en fran\u00e7ais.<\/li>\n<li>Capacit\u00e9 de travailler efficacement sous pression, de mani\u00e8re autonome et \u00e0 g\u00e9rer plusieurs projets simultan\u00e9ment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baccalaur\u00e9at en urbanisme \u2013 reconnu par l\u2019Institut canadien des urbanistes<\/li>\n<li>Un minimum de cinq (5) ann\u00e9es d\u2019exp\u00e9rience professionnelle en am\u00e9nagement du territoire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9mun\u00e9ration &#8211;<\/strong> Nous offrons un salaire concurrentiel en fonction des qualifications et de l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience.
