Using exploratory regression and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR), the analysis reveals significant disparities in emergency department (ED) reliance as a proxy for primary care access. Policy recommendations focus on improving healthcare in marginalized communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Old Connections &amp; New Directions: The Government of Manitoba&#8217;s Role in Implementing Rural Age-Friendly Strategies<br>As the Canadian population rapidly ages, planners must be prepared for this demographic shift and know how to implement age-friendly initiatives and policies to support the unique needs and challenges of an aging population. It is especially important for rural communities as they are prone to having a large proportion of older adults. This session will explore the province\u2019s role in implementing age-friendly strategies and initiatives in rural Manitoba and how it can be streamlined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exploring Active Transportation Among Youth in Subarctic Communities: Barriers, Opportunities, and Community Engagement<br>This session will highlight what active transportation is and what it looks like in subarctic communities.
