Cette initiative dirig\u00e9e par les a\u00een\u00e9s refl\u00e8te un processus participatif fond\u00e9 sur la culture et con\u00e7u pour donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la gu\u00e9rison, \u00e0 l&#8217;authenticit\u00e9 culturelle et \u00e0 l&#8217;implication de la communaut\u00e9. Pendant deux ans, plus de 400 a\u00een\u00e9s \u00e2g\u00e9s de 55 ans et plus ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9laboration du plan, guid\u00e9s par le groupe Xw\u00ed7ski (\u00ab Let&#8217;s Go! \u00bb) en collaboration avec Beringia Community Planning. Cette initiative simplifie le zonage en r\u00e9duisant le nombre de zones de 46 \u00e0 24, en rationalisant les approbations et en autorisant jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 huit logements sur un terrain standard. Parmi les caract\u00e9ristiques innovantes, citons une \u00ab zone r\u00e9sidentielle flexible \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle \u00bb dont les d\u00e9lais d&#8217;approbation ne d\u00e9passent pas un jour et l&#8217;utilisation d&#8217;une bo\u00eete \u00e0 outils de l\u2019analyse bas\u00e9e sur le genre et plus pour promouvoir un urbanisme inclusif et \u00e9quitable. Le rezonage \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle de la ville, l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de l&#8217;interface en ligne et les ressources \u00e9ducatives garantissent une transition en douceur. Le projet a favoris\u00e9 une approche collaborative et d\u00e9colonis\u00e9e de l\u2019urbanisme, impliquant deux \u00e9quipes multidisciplinaires internationales, le personnel de la ville, des experts locaux et les Premi\u00e8res Nations locales (Musqueam, Squamish et Tsleil-Waututh). Une vision audacieuse pour les berges bien-aim\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9e avec un engagement communautaire important et a \u00e9t\u00e9 soutenue par une voie d&#8217;adaptation d\u00e9taill\u00e9e et des outils d\u2019urbanisme pour aider \u00e0 la r\u00e9aliser. La BCS donne la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la protection et \u00e0 la restauration des habitats naturels, \u00e0 la connexion des corridors \u00e9cologiques et \u00e0 l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration des services li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me. L&#8217;UFS se concentre sur le renforcement des pratiques de foresterie urbaine, le maintien de la canop\u00e9e du district et l&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de l&#8217;\u00e9quit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;arbres. Le projet a permis de trouver un \u00e9quilibre entre la pr\u00e9servation du caract\u00e8re historique de Lunenburg et les besoins modernes en mati\u00e8re de logement, de transport et de durabilit\u00e9 environnementale. Au cours d&#8217;un processus d&#8217;engagement de 18 mois, plus de 400 membres de la communaut\u00e9 ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9laboration d&#8217;une vision commune pour l&#8217;avenir de la ville. Pr\u00e9voyant de loger 13 000 m\u00e9nages, le projet int\u00e8gre les savoirs autochtones et donne la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;expression culturelle, \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l&#8217;inclusivit\u00e9. Parmi les \u00e9l\u00e9ments cl\u00e9s, citons le respect de la terre et de l&#8217;eau, et la reconnaissance du site comme un lieu de rassemblement important.
