Over the 2024/2025 Fall and Winter seasons, EnviroCentre sponsored a bike-share feasibility project for the Ottawa-Gatineau region. With a wide group of stakeholders from both municipalities, the feasibility study was a crucial step in assuring a successful introduction of a bike-share system in the region, one that worked with the transportation realities, dreams, and ambitions of all those in the National Capital Region. This session provides an overview of the feasibility study, focussing specifically on the bikeshare modelling component of the exercise which used station-level bikeshare ridership data from Bike Share Toronto and Bixi to map bikeshare ridership potential in the national capital region.
