BuildingIN works with municipalities to set the stage for a new wave of efficient and repeatable multi-unit low-rise infill housing. The program addresses Canada’s housing supply crisis while promoting compact, complete, walkable and inclusive communities. By simulating the housing market response, BuildingIN facilitates evidence-based decision-making that is informed by modelled outcomes for new housing, fiscal sustainability and emissions reductions. BuildingIN engages residents in discussions about trade-offs and harnesses their experiential knowledge in refining solutions so that older neighbourhoods house many more people and transition into more vibrant, sustainable places.
