Building on WSP’s recent planning and development work in Kingsville, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba, this session explores the barriers to developing equitable housing options and the policy and structural changes that could lead to their advancement across Canada. Based on their unique but parallel experiences, the presenters will discuss the intricacies of land use policy planning and deeply affordable housing development for temporary foreign workers and urban Indigenous people experiencing homelessness or living in core housing need.
