CIP Board of Directors Working Group on Government Relations and Advocacy

CIP is seeking up to four Members-at-Large to join its Board Working Group on Government Relations and Advocacy.

Members-at-Large are appointed to provide specific expertise and perspectives aligned with the Working Group’s mandate and current priorities. They will provide strategic, non-binding advice to support CIP’s government relations and advocacy efforts on public policy issues affecting the planning profession and communities across Canada.

Members-at-Large are not members of CIP’s Board of Directors and do not hold governance authority. They serve in an advisory capacity and participate in Working Group discussions, strategic feedback processes, and meetings.

CIP is currently seeking expertise in the following areas:

  • Rural and remote planning contexts
  • Northern and Arctic planning contexts
  • Defence infrastructure and community sustainability
  • Housing supply policy and analysis
