This session will focus on the unique challenges faced by immigrant older adults living with dementia in Canadian suburban neighbourhoods, through a case study of Scarborough examining the needs of the care triad (PLWD, caregivers, and professional care workers), advocating for culturally sensitive urban planning that promotes health equity and dignity.
