Executive Leadership
CIP’s Executive ensures the execution of the Institute’s strategic direction, which includes national and international programs, government relations, and stakeholder outreach.
Beth McMahon MES
Chief Executive Officer
With over twenty years of executive experience, Beth McMahon has helped to significantly grow and strengthen non-profit organizations through fostering the best from boards, members, and staff. Since 2016, and with leadership from CIP’s members, Beth has guided the development and implementation of CIP’s policies on climate change, healthy communities, reconciliation, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. Beth is also the Executive Director of the CIP/ICU Planning Student Trust Fund, a national charity dedicated to supporting planning students.
Beth is a graduate of the University of Toronto and received her Master’s in Environmental Studies from York University. Committed to continuous professional learning, she has also completed the IVEY Business School CommunityShift executive leadership program.
