National Employment Survey Report

CIP is committed to providing accessible, practical and useful resources for members throughout their professional life cycles. 

This survey was designed to gather information on demographics, job responsibilities, and compensation and benefits of professional planners in Canada. 

2023 Canadian Professional Planners National Employment Survey Report

The 2023 survey results provide an updated picture of the state of employment for professional planners in Canada. The survey found that the majority of respondents are working in hybrid environments, career intentions did not change significantly over the course of the pandemic, and most are satisfied to very satisfied with their current position.

The first iteration of this national survey, published as the Canadian Professional Planners National Compensation & Benefits Survey Report, was released in 2019.

January 10, 2024 – Hosted by Kristen Harrison, CIP’s National Director, Policy and Public Affairs, and featuring presenter Gerald Bramm CMRP, CAE, President of Bramm Research, the National Employment Survey Report webinar highlighted the results of the 2023 report, identified trends, and drew comparisons to the results from 2019.
