The Municipal Net-Zero Action Research Partnership is excited to share our upcoming collaborative governance guide for equitable local climate action through this interactive session. Co-led by the University of Waterloo, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, and ICLEI Canada, the partnership’s full membership includes 15 municipal partners from across the country engaged in climate mitigation work. Marking the launch of our guide on collaborative governance for equitable local climate action, this session will guide participants in applying the lessons learned from our case studies in their own communities. The session is designed to invite active participation. Attendees can expect to discover actionable steps toward building strong, solid, cross-sector partnerships in their community that advance climate mitigation goals and build bridges with equity-deserving communities. Pulling from the expertise that informed this guide, the workshop draws on expertise from planners across the country, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with practitioners.
