Designed as a two-part fireside chat ending with a Q&A session, David Huynh, MCIP, RPP, and Dr. Jaris Swidrovich, BSP, PharmD, PhD, AAHIVP, RPh will engage in a frank and honest discussion about the synergies between good planning principles and Indigenous teachings and philosophies. Through this discussion, we hope to demonstrate that as planners, our role and purpose can be aligned with reconciliation efforts. The second part of the discussion will dive into Dr. Swidrovich’s insight, research, and experiences as a health practitioner, professor and social advocate to provide a non-planning lens to planning more inclusive and equitable communities for our most diverse population, including those who are vulnerable and made marginalized.
