CIP welcomes the significant housing investments to help alleviate the housing crisis, as announced in the 2024 federal budget, by allocating $8.5 billion in new spending on housing –16% of the total budget.
Only 37% of planners report feeling well, or very well, equipped with the required competencies to apply adaptation tools in their practice or to communicate the business case for adaptation measures to their clients.
At their February meeting, CIP’s Board of Directors approved funding to cover the cost for 100 members.
