PSB Standards Committee

CIP members interested in standards development for the Canadian planning profession are invited to submit an application for the consideration of the Professional Standards Board (PSB) for its new Standards Committee.

This is a great volunteer role for those who have comprehensive experience in the profession and a good understanding of membership standards and processes for the planning profession.

The new PSB Standards Committee reports to the PSB Board of Directors. The Committee will work to implement, monitor, update and oversee the national standards regarding membership and academic accreditation standards. One member of the PSB Board of Directors will act as the Chair of the PSB Standards Committee.

Time commitment: Committee members will meet regularly (monthly) via videoconference for 1 hour and a minimum of twice a year in person, including the CIP/PTIA annual conference). An additional in-person meeting (3 total) is expected to be required during the start-up year. Subcommittee participation may also be required.

Term: The membership term for the PSB Standards Committee is four (4) years, with a maximum of eight (8) years on the Committee; however, in the start-up phase, staggered terms will be assigned.
