Gen Z is entering the workplace with values, expectations and communication styles that can run counter to the dominant office cultures of yesteryear. If managing Gen Z has left you dazed and confused, this session will give you insights into the thought processes, experiences and motivations that make Gen Z tick. A multi-generational panel of Planners will share their experiences of working within groups in both academic and office settings, and will provide real and honest insights into current office dynamics from the perspective of Gen Z planners and leadership. The panel will address realities and debunk misconceptions about the youngest office cohort, while also shedding light on the realities and demands placed on those in leadership roles. With a better understanding of the needs and forces impacting each group, leaders and the Gen Z cohort of planners will have a better understanding of where they can adapt their styles and expectations of each other in order to create supportive team environments and strong working relationships.
