June 10, 2026 – The Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) is pleased to announce the induction of seven new distinguished members into its esteemed College of Fellows: Steffen Käubler LPP, FCIP, John Lewis RPP, FCIP, Natalie Prud’homme urbaniste émérite, FICU, Noha Sedky RPP, FCIP, Donovan Toews RPP, FCIP, Emma West RPP, FCIP, and the late William “Bill” Budd FCIP.
Designation as a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners (FCIP) is the highest professional honour a planner can receive in Canada. This prestigious title recognizes outstanding and sustained contributions to the planning profession, both nationally and within communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
“It is my privilege to welcome and celebrate these seven exceptional planners as they join the College of Fellows,” said Lesley Cabott RPP, FCIP, ICD D, President of the Canadian Institute of Planners. “Through impactful work in public, private, and academic settings, each inductee has advanced the planning profession in meaningful, lasting ways. Their dedication to leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism continues to elevate our field and motivate the next generation of planners.”
Paul Bedford RPP (lifetime), FCIP and Mark Holland RPP, FCIP, Co-Chairs of the College of Fellows, also offered their congratulations: “We are thrilled to welcome our new Fellows.
